Now showing in the Window-Cine at 1200 N Alvarado: artist Kate Lain’s Smoke and Ash Loops, made in Pasadena between September 8-14, 2020, with smoke and ash from the ongoing Bobcat Fire. Also check out the window installation created by Kate to accompany the film.  Show will be up for about 2-3 weeks. Come for a stroll and watch–open 24 hours a day.

WINDOW-CINE is open 24 hours a day, showing silent films (or sound films silently) in our window at 1200 N Alvarado St.
Now showing: Frente a Frente by Caitlin Díaz @shinykid , a dual projection 16mm film she made while an artist-in-residence at EPFC in 2016. Caitlin is working on a new film commissioned by us with a grant from the @mike_kelley_foundation , so keep an eye out for a potential instagram takeover by her as she works on eco-processing over the next couple months.
We’ll be changing up the selection every other week or so. So stop by if you’re out for a walk in the neighborhood and watch a film!

Celebrate International Workers Day with us as we premiere the newest addition to The Sound We See project at the EPFC North Window Cine on Friday, May 1st at 8 pm. Filmed by Echo Park Film Center Co-op members past and present all over the world, this collaborative exquisite corpse film captures life in quarantine. The film will have a concurrent “live” premiere at 8 pm May 1 on Youtube for those of you who would prefer to tune in from home. Viewable from the street between 8 and 10 pm, the event is free and all-ages. Top window, Salsbury Drive between Grant Street and Graveley Street, Vancouver, BC. Free event! Everyone welcome!
