This Week at EPFC North: Spring Break Special

It’s Spring Break in Vancouver and we’ve got so many fun things happening this week for students of all ages…  from Roses In The Salad on Wednesday afternoon to Dinner & A Movie on Sunday night, there’s a sumptuous smorgasbord of eco-art awaiting at Moberly Fieldhouse! Always FREE for everybody, rain or shine!

Wednesday, March 16
1 pm – 4 pm
Inspired by Bruno Munari’s delightful book, we’ll use a variety of vegetables and inks to create colourful stamps on paper. Free event! Everyone welcome!

Wednesday, March 16
5 pm – 8 pm
Drop by Moberly Fieldhouse for a relaxed evening of hand-processing experimentation… Got stuff to develop? BYOF! Free event! Everyone welcome.

1 pm – 4 pm
Join us as we play around with EPFC North’s groovy gang of digital cameras and make a multi-model Free event! Everyone welcome!

Sunday, March 20
1 pm – 4 pm
Learn how to collaboratively shoot and process a movie using fabulous Super 8 and 16mm cameras and film! Free event! Everyone welcome!

Tasty images, tasty food, enjoyed al fresco. Everyone welcome… bring your own dinner… we’ll provide the movies and the seating!

EPFC’s LA AIRport at Itsy Bitsy Shorts

EPFC | May 3rd, 2019

Check out the newest member of the EPFC mobile fleet when the LA AIRport hosts a direct animation workshop for the wee ones as part of the Itsy Bitsy Shorts program at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival on Saturday May 4 at 10 am.

Wonder, discover, and be captivated at this eye popping and ear perking hodge-podge of sights and sounds for all ages. Selected by the family team of Glenda Gamboa, Children’s Librarian and mom, Kamayo Quizon, Pre-Teen Movie Aficionado and son, and Joel Quizon, the dad. — Joel Quizon

Screening is followed by a performance from artist Joyce Kwon on the gayageum and a children’s activity by Echo Park Film Center at the JANM courtyard.

EPFC Residency at Camera Obscura Art Lab begins Friday, November 24

Hey Santa Monica! We’re coming to hang out with you!

The EPFC Co-op will be in residence at Santa Monica’s amazing Camera Obscura Art Lab for a month, beginning Friday, November 24.

We’ll be doing all kinds of fun all-ages workshops based on the theme Devices of Wonder–Super 8 cinematography and eco processing! Cinematic Stocking Stuffers! Cyanotypes! Make Your Own Camera Obscura!–as well as screenings and even open studio time where you can just drop by and help us work on a film celebrating the Camera Obscura’s 120th birthday.
