the8fest is pleased to announce that submissions for our 15th festival are now OPEN!!

the8fest Small-Gauge Film Festival is a little festival for small films. We are a unique Toronto-based festival that screens films solely on celluloid: 8mm, Super 8, and 9.5mm. We also welcome installation, loops, performance/film, music/film, and ‘proto-cinema devices’ like zoetropes. Programming ranges from personal, handmade, experimental, animations, diaries, essays, collage, cut-ups, and more. Please help us create a new space for older mediums with timeless style!
