If you’re in the LA area Saturday 2nd December, Visualfields, (Terry Flaxton and Charlotte Humpston) will be showing a cut of their new 65 minute Artwork “To Stand and Stare: A Somerset Landscape” and you are cordially invited to be the first to see this new work, 5 years in the making. Bill Viola says “Duration is to Consciousness as light is to the eye” – by which he means, ‘Look. Look again – and keeping looking” and something in that act will activate your consciousness to reveal something unseen by the casual glance – and in so doing we plan to reveal something about living during this time that we all understand but have not spoke to eachother, until now. Do come and tell us if we manage to do this… Afterwards we’ll organise some kind of drink or maybe even food to speak more in this understanding. Do bring a friend if you feel they’ll want to see something of secret and mysterious Somerset.
