The mission of the Philip K. Dick Film Festival is to promote original or adapted material inspired by the works of Philip K. Dick, Jorge Luis Borges, Italo Calvino, Robert Anton Wilson, Franz Kafka and others who have explored the metaphysical, the eerie  in all its manifestations. We look at films that challenge the viewers reality with ideas and concepts not normally found in conventional stories.

The Philip K.Dick Science FIlm Festival is proud to be partnering up with The Echo Park FIlm Center to bring you some of the finest and thought provoking science fiction inspired by the ideas and themes of Philip K. DIck. The evenings program represents the multicultural inclusiveness of Philip K. Dick’s legacy.

The evening will feature a program of International Sci Fi Shorts followed by The Pig Film, a visionary/experimental Sci Fi feature for fans of David Lynch’s Eraserhead and his early works. “In an empty world, a solitary female mechanically follows the protocols of a factory hog farm. Her labors are sporadically punctuated by musical rhapsodies as she moves toward the impending end. Is it the end of the world, a program malfunction, or the beginning of a film?” FILMMAKERS IN ATTENDANCE!
