Program: Relato familiar (México, 2017, color, 20:52 min.) directed by Sumie Garcia is about a deserted photography goods store in the Santa Maria la Ribera neighborhood in Mexico City called Foto Seiki. This will be the film’s Los Angeles premiere!
Coyolxauhqui (México, 2016, 16mm, color, 9:46 min) directed by Colectivo Los Ingrávidos recasts the mythical destruction of the Aztec goddess Coyolxauhqui in a searing evocation of femicide in the Mexican countryside.
El sonido que vemos: CDMX (México, 2017, BN, 33 min.) directed by the Echo Park Film Center and Laboratorio Experimental de Cine is a documentary on a Mexico City symphony filmed in 24 hours at the Mexican capital.
