SUPER 8 LOOPS IN TECHNICOLOR (WELL, SORT OF)

Wednesday, May 17 at 8 PM

The Technicolor Super 810 8mm instant movie projector, as described in the 1964 patent, is a motion picture projector and film cartridge wherein the cartridge contains a continuous loop roll of film and the projector receives the cartridge for optically projecting the film. Sounds cool to me! So, we found one of these projectors, along with a crate load of film loops in the back of EPFC, and we’re ready to take it for a spin. A few choice film titles include: Vibration of a Rubber Hose, Colliding Freight Cars, Collisions with Unknown Objects, and Analysis of a Hurdle Race II. Live tape loop soundtrack provided by swap meet electronic pioneer, All Ball.  Free cookies and Tang!

Doors 7:30 pm; $5 admission.
