The New Works Salons series is a casual forum for the presentation and discussion of new works in film, video, sound, and performance, with local and visiting artists often in-person to introduce their work, hosted by Dicky Bahto. This, the fifty-fifth program in the series, will feature works by Maura Brewer, Astrid de la Chapelle (in town from Paris!), Karissa Hahn, a brand-new Super 8 film by Linda Scobie building on work she started with a film EPFC commissioned from her last year, a newly commissioned film by Walter Vargas from the EPFC Newsreel project funded by the Mike Kelley Foundation for the Arts, and more TBA!
