This workshop and panel discussion about portrayals of LGBTQIA People of Color in film and media aims to engage the local LGBTQIA community and allies in conversation about the positive and negative portrayals of queer people of color in media. We will explore the spectrum of queerness in various groups and address stereotypes, misrepresentation and under representation of the LGBTQIA in media. We aim to engage the audience with film clips and lead a panel discussion with filmmakers, writers, actors and advocates who identify as LGBTQIA.
