LA AIR invites local artists to utilize EPFC resources in creating and premiering new, experimental, documentary, and personal work over a two-month period. The May/June LA AIR artist is Adee Roberson.

Adee Roberson will be presenting an excerpt of a her video VIVID SEAMS;  A performance archive, that locates and memorializes black migration patterns from the south to the west. Through sculpture, site-specific installation, and sound I explore the profundity of black movement and the un/making of home.

Ashley Teamer (New Orlean) ~ 2 Part Horrormony

Followed by a conversation with performance artist, keyon gaskin, curator Essence Harden, and Adee Roberson.

Born in West Palm Beach, Florida in 1981, Adee’s work weaves sonic and familial archives with landscape, technicolor, rhythm, form, and spirit. She has exhibited and performed at numerous venues including, Portland Institute of Contemporary Art, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Charlie James Gallery, Contemporary Art Center New Orleans, and Art Gallery of Windsor, Ontario.
