CLASS MEETS FOR 5 SESSIONS WEDNESDAYS APRIL 6 – MAY 4, 7 -9PM
A workshop class all about DIY animation and frame-by-frame filmmaking techniques, coupled with similarly inventive soundtrack-building techniques. Working both collaboratively and independently, students will learn basic 16mm animation and no-budget special effects, work with found footage and found sound, use homemade microphones and soundmakers, and even draw soundtracks directly onto their films. The class will culminate with students making their own experimental 16mm self-portrait films and screening them with a live soundtrack of their own creation. Class limited to 10 participants.
