FOUR CONSECUTIVE WEDNESDAYS BEGINNING JANUARY 28: 7 – 9 PM

Digital video and traditional celluloid film can live in harmony–you don’t necessarily have to choose one over the other! This four-week workshop is open to anyone curious about the unexpected ways Super8 and 16mm film can be incorporated with digital video. We’ll be working with DSLR cameras to create homemade film-to-video telecine rigs and digital optical printers, experiment with novel techniques for transferring video to 16mm film, and explore alternative methods for projecting and exhibiting film and video media. Class runs 4 consecutive weeks plus optional Sunday Open Studio hours for students. Class limited to 10 students. Tuition: $150/$120 members.
