ILLUSION OF LIFE: ANIMATION FOR BEGINNERS
Animation is easier than you think! All you need is a camera, a little patience, and an active imagination. This fast-paced, intensive class will explore the nitty-gritty of camera-based animation and introduce students to a variety of fundamental techniques, including stop-motion, paper cut-out, claymation, and paint-on-glass, among others. Learn how to build simple 2D and 3D puppets, creatively light your scenes, and use DSLR cameras and basic video software to bring your ideas to life. Whether you want to work abstractly or figuratively, tell straightforward stories or dabble in off-the-wall absurdity, this class will help you build the skills you need to make a miniature animated masterpiece.
