In Between (2016, 103 min) directed by Maysaloun Hamoud, follows the lives of three young Palestinian women living in Tel Aviv, a lawyer, a DJ, and a student, and their struggles with everyday life: finding a job, introducing a partner to parents, attending school and dealing with relationships.  The women defy stereotype, and challenge the social norms and standards of everyone who interact with them, especially men. The threesome’s growing relationship offers an emphatic voice and a scathing critique of both the Israeli and Palestinian patriarchy.
