FILMMOBILE SUMMER SCREENING SERIES 2019: JULY 30 – AUGUST 4 

Angelenos are invited to discover and explore their changing urban landscape this August when the Filmmobile projects an array of classic films at cinematic locations across the city! Events begin at 8 pm for six consecutive evenings beginning Tuesday, July 30 and wrapping up Sunday, August 4. 

The theme for our tenth season is VALLEY TEENS featuring films set in the San Fernando Valley with a Hollywood take on teenage life.

Tuesday, July 30 – THE BAD NEWS BEARS, Michael Ritchie, 1976

Wednesday, July 31 – THE KARATE KID, John G. Avildsen, 1984

Thursday, August 1 – E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Steven Spielberg, 1982

Friday, August 2 – VALLEY GIRL, Martha Coolidge, 1983 with introduction by Mimi Pond, author of The Valley Girls’ Guide to Life.

Saturday, August 3 – FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH, Amy Heckerling, 1982 with introduction by actor Robert Romanos.

Sunday, August 4 – LA BAMBA, Luis Valdez, 1987 with introduction and live music by Beaux Mingus and Jon Almaraz.
