The Experimental Animation program at CalArts has a history abstract animation that dates back to its founding director Jules Engel. This screening will feature films that are not based around representational form and/or traditional modes of narration. These works are driven by the process and concept (as opposed to a predetermined storyboard), and/or subvert the medium that is being worked with. Artist included are Amia Yokoyama, Caitlin Craggs, Matthew Reed, Ian Timothy and more! FILMMAKERS IN ATTENDANCE!
