ALL YOU NEED IS A CAMERA
SATURDAY JUNE 20 AT 8:00 PM
Canadian filmmaker Hillary Titley believes that all you need is a camera… and the right subject/story. To demonstrate this idea, she is coming to the film center with a selection of shorts, including her newest work “Round Trip.” “Round Trip” tells the story of Ajay Maini, an MBA student originally from New Delhi, India, who acted on a desire to learn more about his current hometown, Halifax, Nova Scotia, by riding every public transit route over the course of four days.
The screening will include short works by Canadian filmmakers Dawn George, Fran di Cesare and Cassidy Bankson. All screened shorts were independently produced in Nova Scotia, Canada, with minimal crew, but with a maximum on capturing unique stories. From bus rides, to fiber spinning, to turtles that live in museums, all you need is a camera… and something interesting to point it towards.
