16mm Editing Workshop

Wednesday, June 14: 7 PM to 10 PM

This evening-long workshop will provide an overview of 16mm editing and post-production tools and methodology. Participants will learn the guillotine splicer, editing bench, Steenbeck Editing Flatbed, 16mm projector, and how to use “dual-system sound” to sync a soundtrack to your footage.

The class will work together to collaboratively re-edit and re-mix an industrial film into a dada-esque time warp freak out, then move on to editing individual projects.

Participants to do not need to have 16mm film, but if you have 16mm footage you would like work with (perhaps from a previous EPFC Intro to 16mm Workshop), educational films, or 16mm home movies by all means bring the film so it can be edited! Class limited to 8 participants. Instructor: Mike Stoltz. Tuition: $45 / $38 EPFC Members.

Your spot is confirmed when tuition is received online via PayPal or with cash or credit card in person during store hours (Saturday and Sunday noon – 5 pm).
