EPFC’s Paolo Davanzo and Lisa Marr are in Mexico City this week for the 12th installment of The Sound We See, an ongoing community film project that celebrates the urban environment, collaborative creativity and handmade film. Shot over an exhilarating 24-hour period, The SWS:CDMX premieres in expanded cinema form with live soundtrack at 9 pm on Wednesday, January 18 at Espectro Electromagnetico and in single channel form with live soundtrack at 8 pm on Friday, January 20 at Auditorio del Museo Tamayo. Vancouver friends! Join us Sunday, June 19 at 7 pm for the premiere of The Sound We See: A Vancouver City Symphony at the VanCity Theatre. Shot on 16mm by a dynamic team of street-engaged youth with a live musical score created especially for the event, the film shares a unique view of a rapidly-transforming city described by tourist brochures as “Spectacular by nature.”
